If you follow me on any type of social media, you know how much I love PIC COLLAGE.  We use it every day.  Sometimes we use it several times a day and the real reason is....IT IS SO DARN easy to use.  The students can manipulate text, graphics, photos, stickers, etc. with such ease.  My latest project is all about allowing students to create their own game board with information that they have added to it.  Thank you for Heidi Samuelson and her SWAMPFROGS for the inspiring idea to create our own game boards to show what we know.  If students have am authentic chance to show what they know, they will learn more in the long run.
These are a few of the completed game boards in Pic Collage.  I just posted over 200 game boards in my TPT store that can be used in the app, Pic Collage.  This is how they work: Students will add blank game board into the background of their Pic Collage.  They will add text and anything that would make their game board more interesting.  Once their game board is complete, they save it as a photo and then they are ready to play.  They add saved image into Pic Collage background and text remains in place.  The next step to play is adding their own game markers.  This is how you do that...

We love our GO PRO in the classroom. Here is why: We can show the world what my tech savvy kids with APPittude can do.  They love it.  They want to be the CAM of the DAY.  They love wearing it to PE.  That is a must!  You get some pretty amazing videos because of it and the kids forget that someone is wearing it.
We got the Go Pro through Donor's Choose. We did our shopping through Amazon and couldn't be more pleased. My kids beg to wear it because they want to show the world what they can do as THIRD GRADERS.  They even tried to protect me during a PE session of Hunger Games!  Click on Go Pro Hero 5 pic for more information.

TUMBLE TRAX + THE GO PRO= STEM IN PROGRESS

Picture
This is the NEW hot item from Amazon that my students L-O-V-E!  Tumble Trax are a big hit with my students who love to design and build.  Learning Resources makes this and I bought it on Amazon.  With PRIME, I got it in two days and my kids cannot get enough.  We don't even use the cards that come with it.  They are making their own designs.  I actually bought two kits so I can have two different places in my room next year.  Sooooo, to take it another level, I added the GO PRO with the Tumble Trax to allow others to see my student's thinking.

They absolutely love using the Go Pro for cool projects.  Below is the picture and link to the product on Amazon.  I know that your students would love this set.  Under $20 and so much fun...even the janitor plays with it when the kids leave!
